Podcasting - FAQ

Experience The Woodlands now offers podcasts, small mp3 audio files that you can download onto your computer or portable MP3 players (such as an iPod).

Listening to Our Podcast

Click the "Play this audio post" button in the post to stream the audio on your computer/in your browser.

Right-click the "Play this audio post" button and choose "Save-target As..." to save the mp3 file to your computer.

Subscribe to our automated RSS feed in your feed reader to be notified when a new post is made. When a post contains a podcast (or audio blog), you can then download the mp3 file and listen whenever you would like.

Viewing Our Video Podcast

In addition to watching our video podcasts in your browser, you can subscribe and watch them in iTunes. Free Subscription via iTunes:

Subscribing via RSS (Really Simple Syndication)

You will need podcast software (also known as a podcatching client). There are several available, the most popular being iPodder because it is free and will run on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Once you have your podcatching client installed and running, copy the link from the RSS feed. Like most sites with RSS feed, our link is an orange button marked RSS or XML. Right-click on that link and choose "Copy Shortcut." You can also highlight the following link, right-click and choose copy: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ExperienceTheWoodlandsTx
RSS Feed

Paste the link into your podcatching client. The client you choose to download should provide instructions for how and where to paste the link.

Every time a new show is released on our podcast, you will get it downloaded automatically. You can also tell it to download all the older podcasts. If you set it up correctly, again the instructions should be available from the website you download your client from, the MP3 files will even end up right in your music library or on your MP3 player, all automatically.
