Own A Place In Texas History

Post Category: Neighborhoods, Real Estate — Michele Flory @ 8:53 am

11 Tealbriar
OK… a replica of a place in Texas history!

Tealbriar is a small unique neighborhood of replicas of historic Texas homes. Home size ranges from 6400 to 7000 square feet built on lots ranging from 37000 to 54,000 square feet. All are $1 million + homes. This one-of-a-kind neighborhood is located in The Woodlands Texas Village of Indian Springs.

The home at 11 Tealbriar is a replica of the Sterling Robertson Clark home in Bell County Texas. The original home was built between 1856 and 1860. In 1984, the home became a Texas historic landmark and appeared in the National Register of Historic Places.

This replica home in Tealbriar is the historic antebellum Texas plantation home merged with today’s energy-efficiency technology. Major room amenities are as follows:

Family Room (22 x 20) Towering stone fireplace with built-ins plus twenty foot wall of windows overlooking the backyard forest and pool area. All of the wood flooring is 2 x 6 tongue and groove #1 center match pine hand -laid and hand-stained.

Formal Dining (22 x 16) Spectacular ceiling treatment with chair-mold and warm wood floors for the treasured evening of entertainment.

Kitchen (18 x 16) Granite counters/slate backsplash and striking ceiling treatment. Appliances are Thermador with Sub-Zero refrigerator, Island gas cook-top, glass-front cabinets, and breakfast bar. Pantry (10 x 8) defines the word colossal.

Breakfast (19 x 12) A perfect setting for the first meal of the day! A wall of windows catching the morning sunlight plus the rich color of the wood floor creates an energizing experience.

Study (16 x 14) The walls of bookshelves, fireplace, and private access to the covered front porch is the irresistible setting for enjoying a book or celebrating a success in the stock market with a glass of Screaming Eagle.

Formal Parlor (16 x 14) A more formal setting with fireplace of black marble surround and decorative wainscot. Not shown is a private door to the covered front porch.

Upstairs Game-room (20 x 17) . The walls in this room are “sound-dampened” with R-11 fiberglass insulation. Sliding French Doors plus side panels eliminate “door clutter”. Access to the entertainment center is via a door in the large storage closet

Follow the entry walk to an unparalleled experience of classic style. Create your own Azalea Tour. Property is 100% wrought iron fenced for privacy with controlled access driveway gate. Inviting salt-water pool with spa, and waterfall wall in the forest with colorful landscaping. A complete pool bath is conveniently located at the rear of the cabana.

Sterling Robertson Clark

For the history buffs, here is a quick bio. Sterling Robertson Clark brought a group of 600 settlers to Texas in 1830. He was a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the Republic of Texas. Served as Republic of Texas senator, congressman and captain in the Texas Rangers. Sterling Robinson Clark was the earliest known breeder of Arabian horses in Texas.
