St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System and Texas Children’s Hospital have jointly purchased 22 acres of land in The Woodlands, adjacent to the St. Luke’s Community Medical Center (CMC) - The Woodlands’ existing 40-acre campus, including the Texas Children’s Health Center®. While there are no current plans to develop the site, the proximity of the land is important to future growth for both institutions.

“This initiative between the two hospitals is a reflection of our shared commitment to deliver high-quality care in the fast-growing Woodlands community,” said David J. Fine, President and CEO, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System.

St. Luke’s Community Medical Center - The Woodlands is a faith-based 91-bed hospital. Its state-of-the-art facilities offer the latest technology in innovative health care. In addition to Cardiovascular and Endovascular Care, Emergency Medical Care, Pediatric Services, a Family Birthing Center, and Oncology Services, the hospital features the area’s first all-digital Diagnostic Imaging Department, a Sleep Center, four surgical suites, pathology and pulmonary departments, and a medical staff that includes over 575 credentialed physicians. St. Luke’s CMC - The Woodlands has clinical affiliations with the Texas Children’s Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in addition to a relationship with Texas Heart Institute through St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital.

The Grand Opening Celebration for The Woodlands’ newest Village of Creekside Park will feature two Showcase of Homes events - one in the gated community of Carlton Woods Creekside and one in Wilde Creek, the neighborhood closest to the main village entrance off Gosling Road. The Showcase of Homes in Carlton Woods Creekside is set for Saturday, October 13 through Sunday, October 28, 2007, 10 am - 6 pm daily, and will feature seven lavishly furnished and decorated estates priced from $1.3 - $2.7 million. Admission will be $5 for adults, and free for children 12 and under.

The Showcase of Homes in Wilde Creek will run from Saturday, October 20 through Sunday, October 28 from 10 am until 6 pm daily. There will be 17 decorated models to tour. Admission is free. Also included in the Grand Opening is a family-oriented all-day festival on Saturday, October 20 from 10 am - 6 pm.

There are currently 32 custom estates, priced from the upper $790’s to more than $3 million, in various stages of construction throughout the gated communities of Carlton Woods and Carlton Woods Creekside. Five are available for immediate move-in. 20 additional homesites with lake views or views of the Tom Fazio Championship golf course in Carlton Woods Creekside were just released on Monday, September 24.

The Showcase of Homes in Carlton Woods Creekside will take place from October 13-28, 2007. Admission is $5 for adults and children 12 and under are admitted free.
