The Woodlands Creekside Park Village Development Schedule

2006: Infrastructure construction and lot delivery to builders, sales under way in Carlton Woods Creekside.

Spring 2007: The Development Co. will open model homes and the main entry to the village.

Fall 2007: Grand opening with showcase of homes in Carlton Woods Creekside and Kayak Ridge, the first section of single-family homes, as well as the first phases of Fleming Park and the George Mitchell Nature Preserve.

2008: Opening of The Woodlands Country Club Sports & Racquet Club, opening of The Woodlands Association Aquatic Center, construction of first elementary school, opening of YMCA building and continued homebuilding.

2009: Second YMCA building; fire station and village center open while homebuilding continues

New Park in The Woodlands East Shore

The Woodlands is bringing a piece of the Boston Public Garden and the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park to its East Shore neighborhood.

“It is a lovely lake straddled by an architectural bridge, with a common area (with trees and grass),” said Joel Deretchin, president of The Woodlands Association and vice president of public affairs for The Woodlands Development Co. “The design theme is the public garden in Boston — an urban lake surrounded by a meadow, trees and landscaping.”
