The Woodlands Creekside Park Village Update
Plans for the new 3,492-acre village include vast areas of parklands, totaling 1,850 acres. The village is planned to be home to 7,100 new families, with new homebuilding scheduled to be underway in early 2007. A mix of home styles, price ranges and homebuilders is planned for the Village of Creekside Park, similar to the other villages in The Woodlands.
A Grand Opening of the new village is planned for fall of 2007, when a Showcase of Homes event will take place in Carlton Woods Creekside and the first production home neighborhood in the village, called Kayak Ridge. At that time, the new 20,000-square-foot clubhouse will be open on the Tom Fazio Championship golf course in Carlton Woods Creekside. The main entry to the village off Gosling Road will be completed, along with the first phases of development of two major parklands - the 1,700-acre George Mitchell Nature Preserve, named in honor of The Woodlands’ founder, George Mitchell, and 20-acre Fleming Park, named in honor of Rob Fleming, Texas Parks and Wildlife naturalist and artist. A 72-acre lake named Lake Paloma; the second phase of Fleming Park, featuring an Aquatic Center; a Sports and Racquet Club that will be part of The Woodlands Country Club; a village shopping center; schools that are part of the Tomball ISD; and places of worship are part of the future plans for Creekside Park.
