Town Green Park in The Woodlands
Town Green Park is the 100th park created in The Woodlands. The park is located along The Woodlands Waterway between The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and The South Montgomery County Library.
Town Green Park has an impressive entrance; two impressive, 18.5-foot columns, each topped with a five-foot, stylized pinecone, welcoming guests to the park. Decorative brick columns form a border on each side of these grand columns.
Visitors walking through this impressive entrance to will have a clear view of the park’s central gathering spot, The Great Lawn, which extends all the way down to The Woodlands Waterway.
Almost two football fields long and covered with lush Bermuda grass, the “free-play” space of The Great Lawn is a community gathering spot to toss a Frisbee, fly a kite, enjoy a picnic or just lay in the sun.
The Children’s Garden at Town Green Park incorporates landscape design elements with fun literary experiences to complement the neighboring South Montgomery County Library.
The east border of the park features a walkway with several comfortable nooks with circular bench seating.
Town Green Park provides a destination for Town Center visitors, as well as a venue for special events taking place in Town Center such as the Lighting of the Doves and Red, Hot and Blue Festivals. It has also become the newest spot for the water taxis that navigate The Woodlands Waterway.
