Sunrise Senior Living, an international operator of senior living communities, has purchased a 2.53-acre site in The Woodlands Town Center for construction of a 253,000-square-foot senior living condominium building.

The site is located at 2323 Lake Robbins Drive near the shopping, dining and entertainment venues along The Woodlands Waterway® in Town Center, including The Woodlands Mall, Market Street and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The new project, called The Sterling at The Woodlands, will have an “L” shape with one wing being six stories and the other, 10 stories. The building will feature brick and glass to reflect the natural beauty of The Woodlands. The total number of condos will be 133: 23 one-bedrooms, 77 two-bedrooms and 33 three-bedrooms and will offer luxurious residences for independent and active seniors. Construction is scheduled to begin in late summer 2007 and the first condominiums will be ready for occupancy in June, 2009.
